# Participation vs positioning

Revision: qa-2026-09-14-calibration. This drill reads synthetic aggression and price response. It cannot identify current positions, stops, profitable entries or future direction.

M is the median high-low range of 20 bars ending at the marked bar. The level is a supplied external candidate; no unseen history is assumed. All threshold inputs are available before answering through the chart's 1 M ruler and Check measurements.

A qualifying load touches the level, has volume at least 1.5 times the preceding 12-bar median, and absolute delta at least 45% of its own volume.

- Absorption: the furthest of the following three visible closes, in the aggressor's direction from the level, is at most 0.5 M. Through: at least 1 M. Between: Can't tell yet.
- Panels: identify qualifying seller absorption, or Neither. This is an observation, not a buy instruction.
- Loaded failed break: a close more than 0.10 M beyond and a later visible close more than 0.10 M back. Report Buying-side load, Selling-side load, or No qualifying load. Legacy longs/shorts/nobody IDs remain for data compatibility; the visible labels no longer assert actual positions.

Unresolved evidence categories remain scored answers. A learner can additionally record an uncertain read with a reason; it receives no correctness verdict and is reported separately from accuracy and confidence scores. Later bars are illustrative and never establish whether the original decision was right.
